KCAUMC's Alive High School Ministry exists to be a church that is alive in Christ and be God's hands and feet throughout the week in our respective contexts.
Our mission is to:
Disciple our students in the Word of God.
Grow together as a genuine Christian community.
Encourage, empower, and equip our students to live out their faith in their respective contexts.
"But because of his great love for us, God who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved."
ALIVE is a family. We believe in cultivating a culture of authentic belonging where students are welcomed to our family just as they are.
We want students to have a personal relationship with Jesus and become like Him. We believe that the best life is one that follows Jesus. We want our students to personally experience God and be transformed. We will be leaders who model this value for our students by doing life together with them.
We want to see our students’ faith in Jesus be lived out. Faith isn’t something that’s meant to be dormant, but something that’s meant to be lived out. We want to be a ministry that encourages, equips, and empowers our students to live out their faith.
We strive to create a culture of honor. We live in a society where honoring one another is hard to come by. We want to be a ministry that strives to create a culture of honor, where everyone that steps foot in our ministry is honored as people who have been created in the image of God.
Together, we celebrate, mourn, and journey through everything in between. Life is a journey, full of ups and downs. There are times to celebrate and there are times to mourn. Then there’s everything in between. We choose to do life together in its entirety.
Grace and Truth is our aim. We want to meet our students with grace and truth. As Jesus meets us full of grace and truth, we will also meet our students with grace and truth as we come alongside their journey of faith.
As a people of Hope, we will share the hope we have in Jesus with others. Hope is vital for all human beings, but many struggle to find hope. As a people of Hope, we will share the hope we have in Jesus with those who are searching for hope.
